AHR Report – DVS Bathurst 1000 Weekend.

Spent 10 days prior on the Gold Coast, plenty of gym work. Each day Paul Morris and I went Kayaking on the river which passes by his front door. During the day I helped out at the Norwell Driving Centre with driver training. I flew to Sydney on Thursday with the team. Despite its length (6.2km) Bathurst offers few overtaking opportunities. It’s a very fast track. It gets huge support from a wide range of people including a distinct bogan element. The following descriptions have a mystical quality. Endurance round 1  Paul Morris my co driver and mentor, Dad and I stayed in our apartment, a real treat to be right at the track. During the weekend it was used as a corporate box for my sponsors. Sadly as with so many NZ tracks facilities for general spectators are lacking, especially when it rains. V8ST had in the days prior to this meeting installed in car judicial cameras and linked them to our in car data collection systems.
